SSREN – Training Needs Identification Focus Group Thursday, February 28, 2018 - 10:00-11:30am

The South Shore Regional Enterprise Network (SSREN) and the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education will be offering funded training in Skills for Sustaining and Growing Your Business. Based upon what you tell us your management capacity building needs are the program will be customized to your needs.

As a first step, the SSREN will be holding a focus group session to receive your input on your training needs. Please consider giving one and a half hours of your time to talk about your management capacity building priorities.

Community & Business Excellence Awards Nominate a business or organization that has made a difference

The 2017 Community & Business Excellence Awards will celebrate the work of local businesses and community organizations committed to excellence and innovation throughout Shelburne County. The Shelburne & Area Chamber of Commerce is helping to sponsor this event and provide a representative from our organization to judge the submissions.

Nominations will be accepted and awards presented in the following five categories:

– Artisan Entrepreneur Award
– Business of the Year (1 -15 Employees)
– Business of the Year (16+ Employees)
– Exporter of the Year
– Rising Star Award

Awards will be presented at a ceremony held at the River Hills Golf and Country Club at 6:00 pm on October 24, 2017. Three finalists in each category will be invited to join the celebration and attend the Awards Ceremony. Nominating is easy, so please take a moment to fill out the form and let us know about a business or organization that has made a difference in Shelburne County.

The deadline for submissions is 12 noon on Tuesday, September 26, 2017.
