It is a volunteer group of business and professional people working together to raise business issues with the aim of helping policy makers build a healthy economy and to improve the quality of life in our community.

The Shelburne Area Chamber of Commerce works to improve the community’s economy by:Helping business prosper and grow; Support job opportunities. Contribute to the overall economic stability of the community; Encourage and promote the private enterprise system and competitive business.

Our virtual office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 3pm.

There is a Board of Directors meeting the 3rd Tuesday of each month. These meetings can be attended by members or the general public but have no vote on matters. A request to speak can be made with advanced notice. Our meetings are available virtually for members with a request to join the meeting. We hold 4 members meeting per year.

President

  • Presides over meetings of the board & provide leadership to the Board of Directors to ensure that policies & procedures are carried out consistent with its purpose.
  • Represent the Chamber Board, help improve all aspects of the organization financially & organizationally.

Vice President

  • Take over for president in their absence, assisting & conducting the business affairs of the Chamber in accordance with the directives & policies established by the Board.

Secretary

  • Ensure adequate records of the business affairs & meetings of the Chamber are maintained & distributed.
  • Work with other directors to assist in conducting the business affairs as established by the Board.

Treasurer

  • To ensure that proper records of the financial dealings of the Chamber are maintained & work with other directors in conducting the business affairs of the Chamber.

The Executive and Board of Directors work with the Executive Director, who helps develop and implement the short and long-term goals and objectives for SACC with the Board of Directors.
